Grant Aviation is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Controller(s) located in Anchorage Alaska at our Maintenance Control communications center.
Successful Applicants shall meet the following requirements
- Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
- Have at least 5 years experience working as an A&P mechanic.
- Experience with (any or all) C207, C208, PA31-350, and B200 aircraft.
- Posses effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and able to learn and master new computerized maintenance programs.
- Be available for shift work.
Principal Responsibilities and Job Functions
Maintenance Controller will:
- Provide a single point of contact for all parties regarding Grant Aviations aircraft maintenance.
- Coordinate with the Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing departments, on both a routine and non routine basis.
- Maintain a current listing of aircraft status and provide up to date information to the operations and maintenance department.
- Provide a point of contact and control for maintenance performed on company aircraft away from a maintenance base by Grant Aviation personnel or contract maintenance personal.
- Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed on Grant Aviation aircraft both in house and with contract vendors.
- Work closely with the Operations Department to ensure aircraft are utilized efficiently with regards to repositioning for maintenance.
- Collaborate with lead mechanics at each maintenance base in the planning, executing, and tracking of scheduled and non scheduled maintenance workload.
- Responsible for distributing and verifying the proper completion of all applicable forms and documents in accordance with procedures set forth in Grant Aviation’s manuals.
- Responsible to ensure that mechanical delays that may occur are handled in a safe and expeditious manner in accordance Grant Aviation’s policies.
- Control and track all Deferred Maintenance items (DMI).
- Ensure all parts not in stock which are needed to clear DMI‘s are ordered with particular attention being provided to those items with a short deferral period or operational restrictions
- Provide tracking of parts and equipment while they are in transit to an A.O.G. aircraft.
- Maintain a log of all events that occur during a scheduled work period (days, mids, nights) and effective communicate the information to the person who will be coming on shift in relief.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
