Grant Aviation, Inc. started in 1971 as Delta Air Services in Emmonak, Alaska. The name was changed to Grant Aviation in 1993. Since then Grant Aviation has grown considerably in size with base operations in Kenai, St. Mary's, Emmonak, Bethel, Dillingham and Anchorage.

Now averaging 20,000 flight hours a year, Grant maintains an operating fleet of 2 Cessna 172's, 12 Cessna 207's, 4 Piper PA-350 Navajo's, 4 Cessna Grand Caravans and 1 Beech King Air 200.

Since 1971 Grant Aviation has been the recipient of several awards for Accident Free years from the Alaska Air Carrier's Association.

 

 

The City of Emmonak presented the snowy owl spirit mask - now the Grant Aviation logo - to Mark Hiekel (4th from left), former owner of Grant Aviation, for his service and dedication to the people of Emmonak.
